Saturday 9/15 - Boat Arrivals and Preparations

Per Buch and crew toasts to having his Folkboat Josephine arrive safe and sound from Denmark.  I remember seeing him drinking champagne after the 2006 Gold Cup, this man likes champagne.  They aren't resting on their laurels, they already started tuning.

More boats arriving all the time......

    The harbor is almost full

Finishing touches to Dazzler.  This boat belongs to the City of Oakland, and they were kind enough to loan her back to us. A huge effort went in to get this boat competitive, with a refinished and repaired mast, and a racing bottom.  Evie can't stay still for a minute.  This boat is one of three available to sail in the Oakland Estuary - Classic Sailboat Club <=link

Peter in his element, working metal and talking about Folkboat.  Stuart and Mathew from England look on and were surprised that many of these Folkboats were made here in San Francisco.  The boats look good this year, huge effort, thanks Peter.

Eric, what are you up to?  Where did this boom come from?  The first alloy Folkboat boom in America?  Is it fast, I guess we will find out Monday

    More to come .....
